Their French toast and cardne asada is amazing! 100% would recommend for a great breakfast. Waiters and waitresses are very humble and polite and the owner is there eating almost every morning, greeting and thanking people on their way in and out

Very good service and reasonable prices! I've been there a few times for their breakfast specials and walked away with a full tummy!

First not to take away from friendly staff when you walk in. This review is solely based On Food and quality. Wanted to try a new place for breakfast, google review has some great ratings on this place. What is being shown by what I’m assuming is pictures posted by staff is not what is being served. Actual food on bottom half of picture was of poor quality and greasy. Did not even touch hashbrowns because was covered in oil. Ham in breakfast sandwich was canned ham. Also ordered some French toast, did not receive French toast which is supposed to be cooked with egg. My French toast was coated with pancake mix, cinnamon and powdered sugar. Again, did not receive what is advertised on top half of picture with garnished fresh fruit. Noticed all awards for best place to eat in Brownsville for a number of years, to this date that is not true.

Food was excellent fast and friendly service will be coming back for sure !!!

I gave this place 1 star due to a very rude guy that seems to be employed there. We have been going to the Toddle Inn everytime we are in town, the food and service are Great but we were really disappointed this week. As we were existing the restaurant and paying, the rude guy started yelling to close the door. I advised him that he was being rude and I was opening the door for my family. He said he could not see that from his viewpoint. Thanks for everything and we will not be back. Really disappointing that you allow people to treat your customers that way.

I do love the food, although it's just a little pricey but they have started to create some specials at a lower price. The waitress are super friendly but tend to forget to check on the customer once they have delivered the food to the table.

In town for a graduation and decided to stop by for breakfast at the Toddle Inn. Had a traditional Mexican breakfast, was not disappointed. The plates are decent portions and the tacos are big, I recommend the tortillas with butter. Owner and staff are very helpful and the place feels cozy. I would definitely go again.

Olga, who works both as a waitress and a cashier, is most friendly and proficient! Have returned to eat breakfast there several times because of the good food and homey and friendly atmosphere. The inside looks great in contrast to the exterior which could use better signage and lighting.

Wow! Were we every surprised by this restaurant! Good Mexican food. (We went for breakfast.) The best thing was the fabulous service though. The wait person listened so we'll and was kind and attentive. We'll be back.

This I s a great place to grab a bite in Brownsville Texas. The food is delicious. The staff is courteous and professional. The price on the meals isn't bad either. If you aren't from the area, you can't go wrong eating here.

I went this Morning for four Breakfast Tacos Two of them were completely wrong .Paid 25.00 dollars and didn't even get to enjoy Breakfast. Should have gone to stripes . Called manager and was a waste of time .

Breakfast for group of 13.Food was amazing. Fajitas and carne guisada were tender and flavorful. Tortillas are huge! Not one complaint from the group. It was busy and they made room for us to sit together. We only had 1 server and she easily handled us without issues. Great service. Reasonable price.

I loved this place. We're here for a month, and will back many times. You get a ton of food for a reasonable price. Everyone makes you feel welcomed and at home, including the "sheriff".

Wow, what a great find! We found this place on Google while searching for best breakfast places in Brownsville. Our breakfast was fabulous, inexpensive and the service was even better than the food! Great homemade tortillas. They also have vegetarian and vegan options if you ask.

Found myself in b-town early morning close to Toddle Inn. Ordered potato egg Bean breakfast taco. arrived on a platter! spectacularly huge! Flour tortilla had wonderful charred spots with a little bit of a salty taste. Plenty of filling. The red and green salsas uniquely delicious. Took home half a breakfast taco & plenty of salsa. Would definitely return with a friend to split breakfast taco

Great local Drafthouse... don't always check in...don't want to be found ! They specialize in draft and I had the perfect pour from Stephanie. The bar flows to the outdoor patio area patio with two large garage doors...so on a day like today it was beautiful weather. They offer a happy hour from 3-6.

I really enjoyed coming to this restaurant. Service was so pleasant, the food was delicious, nice and comfortable atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes the quality of food and service. Prices are reasonable. The outside probably needs a little face lift but no doubt is one of the best restaurants in town.

The food is pretty good but it can be very pricey for bigger groups.

1st time to Toddle Inn in Brownsville TX. We had the Cowboy Special - 2 Pancakes 2 Eggs 2 Bacon Strips and and Migas Monterrey. Best breakfast by far of anywhere we have tried in the RGV. Mirna took great care of us. Everyone was so friendly. Met the owner personally as he is definitely hands on to make sure YOU are treated right. You are not eating fast food or pre prepped food here, all homemade to order, and it shows. HIGHLY recommend.

Standard fare of Mexican food and other Texan-inspired cuisine. Food is good, but the service is better and that's what keeps me coming back. Family-friendly atmosphere is very welcoming too.

We went here on the strength of trip advisor recommendation and certainly were not disappointed! It is a cozy family-like small restaurant obviously sought out by locals. Fast service with excellent advice as to menu choices. Tasty nacho chips and salsa All dishes we had were wonderful from the fried Cactus to the Mexican meat ( can’t remember the name). Fair pricing. Would return and agree with all positive reviews

They have really inexpensive plates and pretty good food. The place was nearly full and not with senior citizens at 9am on a Friday.

My normal go-to is the chorizo plate but on my most recent visit I got a bowl of menudo and three small barbacoa tacos. Oh sweet baby Jesus. That menudo was extraordinary. No one makes a bowl like a Brownsville restaurant. The barbacoa tacos were also delightfully greasy.

Really good Mexican home cooking. I've been twice now with my boys. It's a bit run down but the food is delicious, the lunch hour specials and prices are reasonable and our servers have been very nice and helpful. I suggest the bistek ranchero. Very yummy. The food actually looks like what's pictured. And the tortillas are fresh!

This place has mastered the art of machigua From the early 1900's when food was made very fresh and wholesome.

Excellent customer service. I got the carne guisada plate, and was delicious. I would've put 5 ☆ but in my opinion I thought the lunch menu was a bit pricey. But overall everything was great.

Gotta say my breakfast here was subpar. Coffee was fine but everything else was just bland! Potatoes never touched salt in their lives, beans tasted like they came from a can and eggs were okay. Their tortillas were good but I can't give more than two stars for my first time going here.

Breakfast tacos we're HUGE 👌🏼 It's a busy place but worth whatever wait. I had the Silver Spur Taco and everything (the bacon, eggs, beans, cheese and potatoes) were bomb. The salsas were fresh and homemade.

Food was great service was great highly recommend this little place as it was really busy. Authentic Mexican food

I don't speak for all but I've ask people about this place; Place has the same look, the customers surroundings is uncomfortable. Food; looks like it came out of my kitchen, taste like, should of ate at home.It has history ranchers cowboys family pictures that's nice. It's a new experience. Come at your own enjoyment!
